Our Facility
Our 87,000 square foot facility, situated on 8 acres, provides a safe and secure environment for our operations.Conveniently located near major motorways, we offer next-day delivery to most areas across the UK.
The site houses 2,300 pallet spaces, with all bay locations and picking fully computerised for efficient logistics.
Security is a priority—our site is monitored by CCTV and secured with card-access systems to prevent unauthorised entry.
NPD Team
At Scobie & Junor, our NPD department is a cornerstone of innovation.We work hand in hand with our customers’ own NPD teams, offering tailored expertise to support projects of all scales and complexities.
Whether the brief involves reformulating to reduce salt content, replicating a specific flavour profile, or exploring entirely new product concepts, our collaborative approach ensures the best outcome for your brand and your consumers.
To support this, our state-of-the-art development kitchen is fully equipped to simulate real-world, in-home cooking. With four ovens, a BBQ grill, a deep fat fryer, and a gas hob, we replicate true cooking environments—enabling realistic testing, faster iteration, and greater confidence from concept through to launch.
In addition, a dedicated sub-team based at Foodmaker produces bi-annual insights into emerging food trends. Their Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter trend white papers are published a full year in advance, giving national retailers the insight and lead time needed to align development and marketing plans effectively.

Specs & Decs Team
The Specifications and Declarations Team at Scobie & Junor is responsible for managing the technical integrity and legal compliance of all product specifications across our Food Safety, Packaging, and Storage & Distribution operations.This includes the creation, review, and maintenance of detailed product specifications, technical data sheets, allergen declarations, and customer-facing documentation.
All our specs are available online for our customers to retrieve via the specs portal — saving them time and ensuring their paperwork trail is always up to date. Our aim is to make dealing with Scobie & Junor the smoothest and easiest experience possible — the best in the industry.
The team ensures that all raw materials, finished goods, and packaging components meet relevant regulatory requirements and customer expectations, while supporting transparency through accurate nutritional, allergen, and compositional data.
Working closely with suppliers, production, and the Quality Team, they play a vital role in approving new products, managing change controls, and supporting due diligence processes for BRCGS certification. Their work underpins traceability, labelling accuracy, and product safety across all areas of the business.
Quality Systems Team
At Scobie & Junor, our Quality Team plays a central role in ensuring compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement across all three BRCGS Standards: Storage & Distribution, Food Safety, and Packaging.Our Quality Systems (QS) Team maintains strict control over all processes to ensure we consistently operate at the highest standards—triple BRC AA Grade Certification, achieved and upheld daily.
The team oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of our quality management systems, ensuring that all processes meet regulatory, customer, and certification requirements. This includes managing internal audits, traceability exercises, supplier approval, risk assessments (including HACCP and VACCP/TACCP), document control, allergen management, and training programmes.
They also coordinate responses to non-conformances, lead product recall simulations, and monitor key performance indicators to drive quality improvements.
Acting as the key point of contact during external audits and customer inspections, the team ensures that product safety, legal compliance, and customer confidence are upheld throughout the supply chain — from sourcing and manufacturing to storage and distribution.

Technical Field Sales Team
Our Technical Field Sales Team consists of experienced professionals who truly understand the industry.They’re on hand to assist with process improvements, resolve technical challenges, and support the specification of new systems or products.

To support the butchery sector, we operate a dedicated division – Scobies Direct – which specialises in supplying an extensive range of products tailored for butchers. With over 2,000 items available to order online, our offering covers everything from core ingredients to essential sundries.Busy butchers can order at a time that suits them, ofter after the business day has ended.
Our dedicated e-commerce platform, www.scobiesdirect.com ensures next-business-day delivery across most of the UK, and a reliable three-day service to customers in the Republic of Ireland. The site is continuously updated with weekly deals and exclusive offers, making it a trusted and highly effective resource for independent butchers across the region.

Purchasing Team
The dedicated Purchasing Team at Scobie & Junor plays a critical role in maintaining a cost-effective and resilient supply chain. They are responsible for sourcing all raw materials and resale product lines at the most competitive prices, both locally and globally. Their efforts ensure consistent stock availability aligned with customer demand and production planning.Working in close partnership with our valued suppliers, the team actively monitors market trends and tracks commodity prices. This market intelligence enables them to make informed purchasing decisions and negotiate the best possible deals for our customers.
In collaboration with both internal and external sales teams, the Purchasing Team also identifies, and sources products tailored to individual customer needs. At the same time, they contribute to curating a core product range that benefits all Scobie & Junor customers.

The Group Structure
The Scobie & Junor Group has proudly served the meat industry for over 100 years. Headquartered in East Kilbride, Scotland, the Group includes subsidiaries located in Corby, Belfast, and Dublin. It comprises of three operating companies and one holding company.
Scobie & Junor (Estd. 1919) Limited manages sales to meat processors across the UK and Ireland. Its divisions include Scobies Direct, which serves the independent butchery sector, and Scotnet, which specialises in the manufacture of elastic meat netting and the development of automation equipment.
Scobie & Junor (Ireland) Limited provides focused, local service to customers across Northern Ireland.
Foodmaker Limited, based in Corby, is a dedicated specialist in blending seasonings for meat products, particularly for comminuted applications such as sausages and burgers.
Scobie & Junor (Holdings) Limited is the parent company and holds 100% of the share capital in each of its subsidiaries.
